Rockets Memorial Weekend
The National Sport Launch, sponsored by the National Association of Rocketry(NAR), will happen next weekend at Bong Recreation Area in Wisconsin. More information here: http://nsl2009.org/

Lots of big and little rockets being launched. There is a fee for entry. I think the fee is reduced if you just come to watch. peteralway and I expect to be there Saturday and Sunday.

It is a family event.

the xaplings and i plan to be there as spectators, but exactly WHEN depends on what x1's schedule is...thought we'd get details tonight, but apparently won't know more until Wed :(
Still - hopefully we'll get a chance to say hi while enjoying all the zooms!

We'll be looking for you. But if you see us first, be sure and hit us over the head with a hammer and introduce yourself. We'll be in rocket geek mode and our human recognition skills may not be operating well.

There seems to be a $5 daily park admission fee just because it's a state park, and that's it for a spectator. There is a $20 daily launch fee for those who fly

The park admission is $10 non resident and $7 WI resident. The $5 fee is only for advanced registration. (which I did)
