English major nephew

My nephew made the following comment on his facebook today:

I have an Ojibwe dictionary written by a 19th-century French missionary. Some of the phrases in the book include: "I speak like a drunken person" ("nind giwashkwebiwinitagos"), "uninterrupted lightnings" (as in lightning flashes that come so close together that the sky is constantly lit up--"gigigassigewag"), "I am sluttish" ("nin winis"), "I am worth nothing" ("nin nagikawendagos"), and, probably best of all, "my tongue is cut off" ("nin kishkidenaniw"). Language is fun.

That is all.
