Happy Eleventy First!
As of today I am Officially retired! A good year. I survived a tricycle crash. Gave two pints of blood. Inspected a lot of places for air pollution. Launched model rockets, including helping a nephew set a record for F-Superroc Altitude. I even had a couple of investments work out, including getting paid for electricity generated by solar panels I have installed on my house.

Now for my first year of retirement. Oh boy, oh boy, now I can ride my tricycle whenever I want.

Current Mood: accomplishedaccomplished
Current Music: Take me away to the land of the traffic cones

Thanks! I'm looking forward to riding my tricycle on great expeditions. We will see if I ever make it as far as Seattle.

You could keep one of those maps the way some walkers or runners do, of how far you've gone each time, and let us know when you've "reached" Seattle that way. Of course it would still then take an airplane (or at least a train and a lot of time) to see you in person.

I kept records of my commuting to work on my tricycle. I have over 7,000 miles. More than enough for Seattle and back. I have calculated an actual tricycle trip to Seattle would take about 3 months one way at a very realistic pace. It is a trip that could possibly really happen, but would require a lot of careful planning.
