"The Athenians occupied Megara and Pegae, and built for the Megarians their long walls from the city to Nisaea, in which they placed an Athenian garrison."
From the "Landmark Thucydides" edited by Robert B. Strassler. I have the book because of the Rocky and Bullwinkle adventure where Bullwinkle is hired to be the quarterback for "Whatsa Matta U". Bullwinkle, as the star athlete is given a collection of mindless courses(Advanced knitting, being one example.) and Rocky must take differential equations, chemical kinetics, and the history of the Peloponnesian War. While in college, I have taken the first two, but not the third. (I did have a class in Greek Archeology, but that doesn't quite count.) So I ordered a book on the war between Sparta and Athens. I have stalled about 1/3 of the way through the text and so it sits on the book shelf in front of my computer.
